Fishing is just one of the activities you can partake on during your adventure. Whether you’re experienced angler or first time tying a knot on a leader our expert guides are happy to share their knowledge and teach you some skills and tips to reel in a trophy lake trout. That being said, you’ll want to spend some time enjoying being on the water catching the freshest dinner of your life. There’s nothing like reeling in your own catch and cooking it up. We keep a few shakers – that’s local jargon for fish around 6 lbs – for those tasty shore lunches, dinners and/or our famous smoked trout.
Over the course of 5 days, you’ll have the opportunity to fish, enjoy guided hikes on the tundra, (berry picking optional) walk the sand beach, have a dip in the lake followed by a hot wood-fired sauna, relax with a book from our northern library and/or stretch and do some yoga (yoga mats provided). If you’re inspired and have some culinary interests (including making local jams) as well – just let us know. Tanya welcomes you to join her in the kitchen.
Plus there are opportunities to fish for Arctic Grayling in the small located behind your guest cabins (fish from shore or head out in the canoe).
