Catch & Release
At Peterson’s Point Lake Lodge we follow catch & release practices and ethical fish handling to help protect the remarkable lake trout fishery we’re fortunate to enjoy. Day 1
August 19 - Flight to Peterson's Point Lake Lodge
7:00 AM |
One of our team members will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the Air Tindi float base. While your luggage is weighed and the plane loaded, enjoy a lakeside complimentary breakfast and celebratory beverage before your 75 minute scenic float plane flight. Upon your arrival, you’ll be greeted by the team and after an orientation, cabin assignments and a safety briefing over lunch you can enjoy the rest of the day fishing for trophy lake trout.
Days 2-5
August 20 - 23 - Your Typical Day
7:00 AM |
Begin your day with a spectacular lakeside view. Enjoy a steaming hot cup of coffee and nourishing breakfast. This is a great time to discuss the day’s activities: anglers & guides can plan lunch, deciding between a picnic lunch or incredible shore lunch while reviewing fishing locations. Each day at Point Lake is unique, as, weather and fishing conditions influence the schedule.
Anglers often depart around 8:00 AM for a full day on the water, returning around 5:00-6:00 PM.
Fresh air and fishing action work up a good appetite, and evenings are perfect for sharing stories over appetizers and a home cooked meal. You can take advantage of the lodge amenities or simply enjoy the spectacular scenery from the privacy of your cabin. For those still eager to fish, a rod and reel await to chase Arctic Grayling in the small lake behind your cabin.
Day 6
August 24 - Last Day and Return to Yellowknife
7:00 AM |
Even with an early start you likely won’t see the sunrise, this is land of the midnight sun, and nature makes getting up early. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before packing for your return flight to Yellowknife. Your flight departs at approximately 8:45 AM, landing you in Yellowknife at approximately 10:30 AM. Our team members will be at the float base to meet you and take you to the airport or hotel. If time permits, we’re happy to take you shopping at the local gift shop and/or grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants.
